Thoughts from the gopher hole:
The gopher thinks that the collapsing American subprime loan market may actually save us from a BushCo-induced Armageddon in the Middle East, which is exactly what an attack on Iran would cause.
The effects of the collapsing American subprime loan market are now rippling throughout the international finance system, such that not just the American financial markets, but ALL financial markets internationally simply cannot sustain the additional shock & uncertainty that an attack on Iran by either Israel or BushCo would cause.
Therefore, I doubt that Cheney or Israel will attack Iran, for the time being. You see, a ruined humanity does not matter to BushCo, but ruined financial markets DO matter to BushCo, more accurately, such matters dearly to BushCo's corporatist masters.
And since the collapsing American subprime loan market is believed to have 12 to 18 months of "collapse" unwind life left in it, we may have just dodged Armageddon for good.
Whew. Talk about running out the clock!
