That's right, Beau Biden will not be driving a campaign bus for his father. Instead, he's heading to Iraq.
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden told a crowd at the Iowa State Fair Thursday that his son will be deployed to Iraq.
Beau Biden, Delaware’s attorney general, is a captain in the Army National Guard. His unit has been notified that it should be prepared to deploy in 2008.
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa... shouldn't he be driving a Winnebago across Iowa to help his dad get elected? Wouldn't that be a better way to show his support for the nation and the military? Beau Biden must hate America. And how did his presidential candidate father handle the news?
"He’ll go...I don’t want him going," the Delaware senator told the crowd. "But I don’t want my grandsons or granddaughters going back in 15 years. So how we leave makes a big difference."
That's pretty selfish of Biden... thinking only about his own grandchildren. He could learn a lesson from GOP candidate Mitt Romney and his patriotic sons about priorities.
