In an apparent move to destroy morale and create havoc, people from Fox news have moved from scrubbing Wikipedia to changing the format on Daily Kos user comment pages.
Not surprisingly, Kossacks from all over the globe are up in arms.
I noticed this earlier (13+ / 0-)
We've lost considerable functionality.
No more direct link to the ratings info for any given comment;
No indication of how many replies there are to a particular comment;
the information isn't updated immediately.
I assume that there's some good reason for this, but i hate it, and hope some better solution can be employed.

Clearly, this user is not amused.
Nor this one:
Me too. (8+ / 0-)
I was just coming here to ask what happened to the comments page. I can no longer tell if someone has replied to a comment. This is not going to further polite discourse at DailyKos.

Some think it is, well, antisocial...
I notice there's no listing of responses. (8+ / 0-)
I like to go back and see if someone has responded to my comments so I can hit them back, so to speak.
I think the new format is slightly anti-social.

And some simply think it blows:
- [new] yep, it blows (5+ / 0-)
Like a lot of us here, I often go back to comments a day or so later to see if I need to follow up with someone. Now a quick glance won't work.
I'm sure this seemed like a good idea. But it isn't.
In the name of all that is good and holy, make it go back to the way it was this morning!
dissent not only welcome... but encouraged

Oh, wait. I wrote that.
But about this whole Fox News angle. Where's the proof?
Beats me. But, damn it. I KNOW O'Reilly and Gibson are behind this. And I am feverishly looking for a link to prove it. Watch for an update.
UPDATE: Fox gremlins vanquished! Comments pages restored to original luster. Still looking for link to prove cockamamie theory.
