Of course this is taken from "Brother can you spare a dime?" and Sisters was added for equality.
No, I do not want a roll of quarters for video games, although I have a soft spot for arcades and my12 year old and I like to play skeeball and air hockey.
NO, I do not want a roll of quarters for a peep show. That’s the other party.
No, it’s not for slot machines or even bubble gum.
I am asking for a roll of quarters every month for Representative Government of The People, By the People. That change will come at a cost, and it is one you CAN afford.
I am Barry Welsh and I am running for Congress in Indiana’s 6th District for a second time against Mike Pence.
Today, my wife, Congressional Candidates Wife, joined John Laesch on a weekly internet radio program called Meet The Bloggers. The topic was the importance of early fundraising.
Early fundraising is what launches a campaign and allows infrastructure to be put in place with the necessary human and mechanical hardware.
What allows a campaign to flourish is sustained giving. Small monthly contributions from the many is what will make true change in the government. Change for change.
You can have change in DC for a roll of quarters, or let them have more of the same for $10,000 a plate dinners. So commit a roll of quarters, please.
I hate this. I really, really hate this. I hate fundraising, but it is a necessity if we are to win, and there is just too much to lose. So I try and make it as fun as I can so I can do it.
I am asking for a roll of quarters, $10 dollars a month, for the next 16 months. A total of $160 dollars from now till the election. If 100 people help, we can sustain phone lines and utilities for the duration. If 1000 people help, we can sustain staff and pay expenses for volunteers. If 3000 people help, we begin stockpiling for a massive multi-media blitz and we reach every voter with the truth and we win.
That’s my goal. 3000 people across the country donating less than 50 cents a day to get rid of a guy that is the mirrored opposite of what we stand for.
This will not totally fund our campaign but it allows us to make long range plans and that is crucial, so please consider backing our effort, so I can help get public financed elections and can spend time listening to what matters to people and not on the phone trying to raise money as I will be for the next 16 months!
The good news is We are the leading fundraiser in Indiana through ActBlue, leading Brad and Baron, and leading all three Governor candidates. Thanks all of you who have given on line. We haven’t raised a lot but we are leading.

I do hate this. I hate fundraising and begging, but here is what I am going to do.
Every time I write a fundraising diary, I am also going to include another candidate and link to them. So I am going to try and help them as well.
We need to send a committed group to DC for the good of all of this country.
With that said, and since he was on Meet The Bloggers with Sherri today, my first appeal goes out to also donate to John Laesch in Illinois 14th. I know this is a contested primary and I will make an appeal for the other Democratic candidate in the race, at a later time.
Please give me a roll of quarters a month, and I will make your investment pay off.

Also Please consider donating to an Iraqi Veteran, a Union Carpenter, a fellow Congressional Candidate, and my friend, John Laesch.
