This is about the 3 part series just broadcast on CNN the last 3 days.

God's Warriors

I had a real problem with the 3rd part of the series, the Christian Warriors. The problem I had, was that none of the Christians were ever portrayed as violent or their message ever had a violent ending. The other 2 parts of the series was full of violence, though given time to justify them, it was still a means to an end. But, somehow, the Christians were given a pass. I think ample time should have been given, as was the Jews and Muslims parts, to their violence. This is a 3 way game, I thought that CNN made it look like the Christians were all non-violent except the instances when they were supporting a war, like Lebanon. Like the Crusades never occured. Like the Inquistion never happened. Like how my Jewish ancestors escaped europe for the middle east and the Americas.

For instance, I've read about the attempted plots by settlers on that school in Israel. It was an isolated, yet very scary realisation that both sides play unfair.

Like I said, I dont want to bring history into this. Maybe I opened a floodgate. Still, I have a problem with CNN portraying the Christians as the messengers of peace. Jesus, yes, a messenger of peace, Cristians, not so fast.

Here's the main problem I had. There was no word on any recent Christian violence, but full of recent Jewish and Muslim violence in the other 2 programs.

Well, here's some facts. There was never a Jewish and Muslim war before 1947. Half of my ancestors escaped the Spanish Inquisition by moving to Mesopotamia or what is known as modern day Iraq. Mecca and Medina were first founded by Jews as trading outposts. Yes, a battle was fought over those cities, but it never spawned an eternal war. My Jewish Saphardic family escaped Iraq for India at the end of WW1, 1917.  The other half already escaped to Argentina back in the 1500's. My family history is full of them running away from Christians, not Muslims. And, I dont even want to even start to say what happened to parts of my family in WW2. That nightmare isnt done.

It's not that I dont know Chriatian history either, I read all about what happened in Rome. But, the Roman empire is dead. And like how my extended family is abusing the power of Israel and like how its happening again in the new form of the US. The outcome will be the same. It's almost like my Jewish family and your Christian family has never learned from history, and fuck the Muslims right? Is anyone even gonna ask them what they think?

Even though I'm a socialist, elitist, blackist, jewishnist everythingist. I want peace. But, I know history and I wont be part of these nightmares again. Never again.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
