Dear Kossacks,
My campaign website is now up. I look forward to it becoming an important, participatory tool that you can use to communicate with me and my campaign, and help me become the next U.S Senator from Oklahoma.
Follow me below for more information about my public announcement in Oklahoma next week.
Here is the email I sent out to supporters earlier today:
Dear Friend,
I am happy to notify you that just hours ago, I officially launched my U.S. Senate campaign website www.andrewforoklahoma.com
From now on, you will have a permanent window into this campaign where you can participate on our blog, check on the latest news from the campaign trail or explore the differences between me and the incumbent, Jim Inhofe. You will also be able to contribute and sign up to join our grassroots team.
I hope you will take a moment to examine the website and pass along your comments so we can continue to improve it. I respect the importance of a quality presence on the web and will continue to update my website so that it is useful to you. Please also consider making a contribution so I can continue to expand my resources against Jim Inhofe and his special interest money.
I will make a public announcement of my candidacy one week from today, on Wed. September 5th. The events will take place at 10:15am at the Tulsa Press Club, and at 4:30pm at the Oklahoma Democratic Party Headquarters in Oklahoma City, click here for more details.
I have taken on this challenge knowing that running for the United States Senate is a massive commitment for me, my family and those of you who choose to support me. I am also confident that I am doing the right thing. The 2008 election year falls at an extraordinary time in our history when I sense that many Oklahomans have lost faith in the ability of their federal government to perform even the most basic functions, much less conduct a smart and effective anti-terrorism campaign or improve access to health care for millions of Americans.
My pledge is to work together with you to help restore our collective faith in the legitimate role of government for serving the common good and living up to our ideals of fairness and Democracy around the world.
Our campaign for accountability and common sense in the United States Senate has only just begun and I can already feel the energy from Oklahoma voters who are eager for change.
I am grateful for your support and please stay in touch.
Sincerely,
State Senator Andrew Rice
I'll stay online here at Dailykos for a little while to answer any questions you may have for me.
Please consider supporting my campaign. I'll need every penny to win!
