This is a continuation of a theme I have been diarying for ages--the obvious falsifications in Bush's military record. In this diary I analyze another huge falsification: like the others, hidden in plain sight.
In a previous diary I discussed Bush's embezzlement of federal funds when he took pilots pay, with flight pay, for 52 days after he had been suspended from flying because his superiors illegally kept him on flight status: http://www.dailykos.com/...
I discussed the falsifications around Bush's discharge in this diary: http://www.dailykos.com/...
More below
For those who want to catch up, here's a list of some previous pertinent diaries:
A Timeline of Bush's last 18 months in the TXANG showing pertinent papers: http://www.dailykos.com/...
Deconstructing Bush's spin: http://www.dailykos.com/...
What Bush owes Bartlett: http://www.dailykos.com/...
I debunk all the "non-fonts" allegations of falsity of the CBS memos: http://www.dailykos.com/...
(This one needs to be updated, Ive knocked out more since 1/7/05. EVERY allegation I could check against the record was false, misleading, irrelevant or all the above)
There's plenty more.
but todays diary continues the theme of how easy the falsifiiations are to spot. This one analyzes George Bush's OETR of 1972/73: http://www.glcq.com/... (warning--many of these references are PDF)
One of the reasons studying this OETR is so important is that it is the ONLY evidence of Bush's attendance, other than his pay records, for the whole year. This is a HUGE contradiction: No one in either unit saw Bush for the whole year, according to all the records, the unit commanders' statements and the (non) memories of all the participants in those units. Yet Bush was PAID for 14 days in this year! As a pilot, with flight pay! What did Bush do and where to earn his federal pay when all the evidence says he wasn't there? Who authorized the pay? (think: Rufus Martin) The records of the only two units he could have earned it in say he wasn't there, but his pay records do. Suspicious? You betcha!
Among the most curious and obviously false facts about this document is that neither Killian or Harris SIGNED this document, nor did Hodges sign an acceptance of it, like they'd done on the previous 2 OETR's:
1st: http://www.glcq.com/...
2d: http://www.glcq.com/...
Read the first two: theyre extremely detailed and all signed full signature, in extremely complimentary fashion with full aproval from Hodges. The last one is only stamped signed with no attribution and Hodges doesn't confirm it at all. None of Bush superiors signed this like they had the others--because its almost all false.
Or perhaps someone would like to argue that they were all out sick the day this was composed? The very fact that none of them signed it makes this a subject of investigation--why wouldn't any of them sign it? And why does Bush have a document in his records that his superiors would not sign? Hidden right out there in plain sight, too. Too bad investigative journalism died.
Killian, Harris and Hodges knew that it was false--thats why none of them signed it like they had the first two so unctuously complimentary. I'm going to show you whats false about it.
On the report they state that "Lt Bush has not been observed at this unit during the time of this report....He cleared this base on May 15th......"
Killian (and Harris and the others, including Bush) was well aware that those statements are false because Killian had suspended Bush on August 1st, 1972 face to face and there was a paper trail to that effect. http://users.cis.net/...
George Bush could not have cleared post ( a complex paperwork proceeding) on May 15th because he did not have any orders or official approval- he didn't even put in for transfer until May 24, 1972-- http://users.cis.net/... that was turned down for being contrary to regulations. (note: Bush falsifies his MOS here saying it was 1125B, an obsolete F86 pilot. He was 1125D, an F102a pilot. Note the date; May 24, 9 days after he had supposedly "cleared post" NOte that it says "none" in the military schools box--an unbelievably false statement.) He was still in the 111th on 5 Sep when he applied to Jerry Killian--his commander!-- for a transfer out of the 111th: http://users.cis.net/... (This last one is laughable as repreenting a military document, undoubtedly Martin wrote and signed it)
There are 12 separate documents that show Bush being in the 111th FIS (or the 147th ftr grp of which the 111th is a part) (see Timeline referenced above ) until at least the 6th of September--the day his commanders--Jerry Killian (111th) and Bobby Hodges (147th) signed his transfer approval: http://www.glcq.com/... Untill that time, he was indubitably and inarguably in the 111th and part of the 147th.
This last document is a dropdead damning smoking gun for Killian and Hodges, Martin too--it proves, with their signatures, beyond a shadow of a doubt that they know the MAy 15th date is fraudulent. {Bush too} Sep 6 1972 is the official date Bush left their unit, or as close to official as fraud can get. There's nothing about him clearing post on that day on the OETR, as there would if this was legitimate.
Yet Killian and Harris allowed an official report to go out over their names with falsified information--that Bush had left their unit 4 months earlier than the record shows he did. The reason is that the command had to have SOMETHING showing where Bush spent that whole year--and the Alabama unit wasn't going to do it for them.
The regulations demanded that George Bush stay in his assigned job and not go playing politics in Alabama. As it says in the disallowal of this request http://users.cis.net/... "... A review of his Master Personnel File shows he has a Military Service Obligation until 26 May 1974.....Under the provisions of 30d 4 AFM 35-3 an obligated Reservist can be assigned to a specific Ready Reserve position only. Therefore he is ineligible for an assignment to an Air Reserve Squadron...." Clearly the regulations quoted demanded that he stay in his assigned job and its what his superiors wanted to (see OETR 1972: "..Lt Bush should remain in his present assignment...")So how did he get the transfer on the second request? (answer: illegally. Covered later)
Killian and Harris falsified this official report, backdating his real exit from their unit, because they were trying to show that George Bush had left the 111th before they were required to convene the flight board. And they did not rate him, as required. (Remember: "I will backdate but not rate"? Thats exactly what they did---and it was illegal.)
This was sheer and willfull dereliction of duty. It was Killian's, Harris's, Hodges, Staudt's and everybody else in the chain of comand's DUTY to convene a flight evaluation board and determine the reason for Bush's refusal to take the physical, according to the regulation he was suspended under: AFM 35-13 para 2-29m. Read the regulations, they are very clear: http://www.glcq.com/... They ran away from their duty for political reasons--there is no other explanation.
Whats extremely noticeable is that they completely left out any mention of Bush's suspension on Aug 1 1972 nor the fact that he did not fly this whole year .This amounts to wiilfull and deliberate concealment of critical, material facts. This is supposed to be a record of Bush's service during this year and it doesn't say he didn't fly the whole year nor that he was suspended for 8 months of it.
Theyre trying to pass him off as a pilot in a nonflying capacity...in some other unit that won't vouch for him. Its a huge anomaly: They say he was in Alabama--the Alabama unit says he wasn't. The fact that theyre trying to give an evaluation for him when he wasn't in their unit shows how desperate they were for SOMETHING that shows his whereabouts because Bush hadn't been there the whole year but he got PAID for 14 days this year--with flight pay--when he didn't fly and was suspended for the last 8 mnths of it. (All the pay this year is for after he was suspended.)
And he got paid as a pilot with flight pay because his superiors had falsely represented him as a pilot, in violation of reg AFM35-13 para 2-11. (See previous diaries) They were really in a bind, no doubt from pressure from above. They couldn't say he was in the 111th as a pilot--they had a years worth of paperwork against them showing he was not there. So they falsified this docuument and others.
Theyre representing Bush as a pilot, 1125 D, for this whole year although saying he was somewhere else. They falsify his departure date and conceal the important facts that he hadn't flown the whole year and had been suspended for the last 8 months. They vouch for his being in Alabama when the lanama unit would not (and still won't.) They refuse to rate him. And then they refuse to sign their names to it
Its critical to know these facts when assessing the CYA document of the CBS memos. ( http://www.usatoday.com/... Page 8) When Killian says "...I don't have any feedback from Alabama..." the truth is: he hadn't. When he says :...Bush was not here during rating period..." he's right. When he talks about pressure to "sugarcoat" thats exactly what was going on. When he says :...I will back date but not rate..." the truth is that's exactly what he did do. And it was all illegal as hell. I would have written a note to incriminate my superiors too if I was doing all the falsifying he did for Bsh, it coulda put him (and them) in jail. But, of course, bloggers proved this forged, absolutely, positively and finally so no need to look further here.
Too bad people never realized how incriminating this is to Bush and Bush's superiors if real, they might have investigated it.
Or not. This stuff is easy to spot once you straighten out Bush's papers,, isn't it?
