I understand that DA Niphong broke the law and his assumption of guilt on those boys was wrong.
I understand also he has lost his right to practice law.
What I don't understand is on the other side.....
Why the media passion over this guy and his mistake and the silence for the case of Genarlow Wilson?
Also, isn't what the DA in Jena, LA did even worse? I mean, as I read the information on all the cases, it seems to me, the accused in JENA and Genarlow Wilson are getting treated way less in terms of fairness than those poor frat boys from Duke!
From everything I am reading about JENA, the law there has not only been unfair to the high school students in JENA, one has already been tried and convicted for attempted murder with a tennis shoe, and sentenced.
Where is the outrage of the lawyers being brought on to discuss the law about JENA?
And even when the parents of the girl in the Genarlow Wilson pleaded for leniency, this kid got 10 years. Where is the passionate outcry for the bad law in this case and the outcry against the AG of Georgia who won't let the appeal go through....
Am I missing something?
