In accepting the Emmy for Creative Achievement Al Gore said Current TV is a means to reclaim American Democracy by providing a forum to discuss the issues that face us.And then he may have dropped a hint...
He said:
"More to come. Current.com. Next month."
It could just be an announcement for a new relaunch of current.tv on current.com. There is a message on current.com that that they are relaunching their site soon. The timing coincides with when those who expect Al may enter the race would enter the race. Is it just a coincidence?
I recall when Current TV was created Al said it would not be used for political purposes or some sentiment to that effect. However, the rhetoric used in the acceptance speech left a political impression. He specifically referred to restoring American democracy by providing a two way medium to discuss real issues. And then I believe he may have dropped a hint.
Perhaps when Al Gore announces Current.com and Current TV will be used as a platform for Gore's campaign to restore participatory American democracy, and reclaim the White House in the process. The Current.com website is gathering emails for a Beta invitation which they promise will be awesome. Thoughts?
