I've heard some negative comments about Hillary Clinton by some, first I want to say I respect others opinions however, I want to explain why I support her and why I think those who aren't so crazy about her may change their mind so please try to have an open mind as you read this and think about the overall big picture.
First of all let's start off with what Bush and Cheney have done, they started the Iraq war based on complete dishonesty and as a result of this the United States has lost a great deal of credibility with the rest of the world, most of us are aware of this. How does Hillary fit in? Well first of all she has stated that her husband and former President Bill Clinton would be involved in her administration if elected. Both Hillary and Bill Clinton are very well respected all over the world and that is a first step of why we need Hillary to help us gain back respect at home and around the world. Right now we aren't able to properly deal with important issues thanks to Bush/Cheney pushing our allies away. Hillary also has the best chance to win the 2008 election, she knows how to reach out and get those Independent and moderate votes in order to give us a Democratic victory in 2008 at the same time once elected I believe Hillary will hold true to her liberal values.
Hillary has said when she is President that if the Iraq war was still going on that she would end it and she knows that's huge and she will have to make good on that if she wants to win any future elections. Hillary is already talking about getting health care for all Americans but deep down inside I believe this is just a first step towards going to National Health Care just like Canada has. I believe health care is a human right not just something for those who can afford it and deep down I think Hillary feels the same way and will make another attempt at it down the road.
As a reminder for those who forgot or may not know but the last time there was a vote to continue funding the Iraq with no exit date Hillary voted against it and recently she said it again she will not vote to fund this war without an exit plan. Hillary knows we can't continue on Bush's failed Iraq policy of stay the course and she has proved she is being sincere by her actions. Also, not that long ago Hillary voted against giving the Bush administration more unchecked power to eavesdrop on Americans without a court order. Some people have a problem with Hillary just because she is a woman and to those people I say this is the 21rst century not the stone age. I say let's give a woman a chance. My support for Hillary isn't based on her being a woman it's based on because I think she is the best person with the most experience to bring us a Democratic victory in 2008 and I also believe with Bill on the road helping her it will also help to increase our Democrat majority in both the House and the Senate. I can see it now folks, we will have it made, we will be free from complete control of GOP. Just give Hillary a chance, deep down she is a true liberal and if given a chance I think she will make our great nation proud. Are you still not convinced? Please take a moment to watch this short video of former President Bill Clinton in the link below as you very well may learn some other good things about Hillary that you didn't even know about her. I want to also add that I understand that some of you reading this would rather someone else be President but let me leave you with this question to think about it. Let's say that if by any chance Hillary does get the Democratic nomination like I think she will. Ask yourself this question, if it comes down to this even if Hillary isn't your first choice wouldn't you rather have Hillary win for President over another far right Republican? If Hillary gets the nomination I think we should all pull together united and strong to support her. Republicans are divided and as far as I'm concerned I see that as an advantage to Democrats only if we stay united and strong by sticking together.
Last but not least Hillary will also help the people who have been hurt by hurricane Katrina that President Bush so sadly ignored. The response by GOP was so slow and I believe if this had happened in a wealthy area the response would've been much different and much quicker. With Hillary ever person will count not just the wealthy and she will fight for civil rights. Check out Hillary's plans to help the hurting from Katrina.
