The world should have snubbed Bush's meeting today. Not only did he not have anything to add to the conversation,
''By setting this goal, we acknowledge there is a problem, and by setting this goal, we commit ourselves to doing something about it,'' Bush said in a speech
his intervention only serves to undermine any progress to a world goal that the UN is working towards, with great dificulty mind you. Here's an idea, if Bush is going to propose voluntary standards unilaterally, then he should be the only one going about this with voluntary standards. The rest of the world should make mandates, that they all agree is the only way forward, a priority and not let Bush get in the way. We can wait out the year of Bush's delays but Global Warming needs to be addressed by the world as soon as possible.
