Make sure Joe Leiberman gets this message

I just read this article, courtesy of the The Raw Story, in which Israeli experts have concluded that Bush's policies have made the US and world less safe than before. And they also stated that it would be better for the US to pull the troops out of Iraq now INSTEAD of adding troops as the Dear Leader wants to do.

This really surprised me to read this. Not that I didn't know it already, but to read it in one of the wires where it will be picked up was not what I expected at all, much less that the Israelis were saying it. This is something that will drag Joe back into line since the Israeli lobby is really his true master.

So all you people in Connecticut, please contact Joe at [phone], or via his webform and let him know that he needs to stop supporting Bush's policy since the Israelis say it is a bad policy that makes us less safe.

          But I would say that your diary is good because it advocates taking action, and gives some good links. I think your diary's worthy... but a bit more text would strengthen it for the purists who get frustrated with short outbursts that are not diary worthy.

  I heard Robert Wexler (D-Palm Beach, Fl) who is tightly tied to Israeli politics, say this a month ago. The reasonable forces within Israeli politics have concluded that the chaos in Iraq is very damaging to their future progress. There's no support there for escalation.

  There are certainly still the far-right factions in Israel, who find air time courtesy of their fundy comrades over here. But Israel is a democracy, with many voices, just as we are. It's a big mistake to conclude that one vocal politician speaks for that nation.

  I suspect that there is far too much pressure from the Bush administration on the Israeli government, manipulation and outright bribery. But reasonable folks know that the situation in Iraq is an unmittigated disaster.
