Okay, perhaps the title is a little overly suggestive, but lets take a look at what they are each doing as of late. Before we go any deeper, props to NYPopulist on his great Gore diary below.
Vanity Fair has, in the past month published not one, but two articles relating to Al Gore, both casting him in a sympathetic light.
Now take a look at CNN's new report, Planet in Peril, which airs October 23 & 24th. This is after the Nobels and before the October 30th democratic debate in Philly. Al Gore OWNS the issue of the environment. I don't want to say that CNN's choice to run this issue is politically motivated -- I'm happy ANYTIME a major news outlets gives treatment to a subject so dear to my hear -- but viewed from a hypothetically political perspective, pushing the environmental issues we face during the run up to presidential debates really only helps one candidate: and Al Gore would be that candidate, should he run.
Anyway, I know I'm doing a bit of tea leaf reading with this, but I'd really like to think that these are harbingers of an Al Gore candidacy. Now please go read NYPopulits great diary and get involved with the Draft Gore campaign.
