Since I don't see one up, I'll post this WAYWO diary and take it down when em shows up.
I am the queen of procrastination, and had the most embarassing moment of my adult like last Tuesday. The City of Berea buildings inspector was on our property for their annual let's-see-what-you-people-have-in-your-closets tour. I still have some bags of composte and my garden hoses on my patio, which can be seen from the street, and he gave me a written notice to clean my act up!
I must have turned 60 shades of red. Not bad in a quilt, but awful if you are a quilter and it's on your face!
At the moment, it's all about bears, flying geese and praries points at my house. Oh, and my new insta-design wall.
In my old house I had a really nice design wall set up in my studio - muslin covered foam-core board about 8' wide, 9' tall. I used it to test blocks and/or block placement out when making a quilt. I haven't had one since moving in here 7 years ago.
Then, I remembered some hint somewhere that you could do the same thing with simple felt - the cheap stuff. Got myself 1-1/2 yards of 72" white felt, some clear pushpins and went to work. Tadaaaaa! My new insta-design wall.
Up there now is my latest quilt - a linear design with several different individual bear blocks, set with a variety of flying geese blocks to form one row. A lattice row of a neat beans-looking fabric, and 3 rows of a simple bear fabric that is too cute for words will complete the top.

I've never tried prairie points, so I'm going to give it a go with this one. The backing is the bear fabric with some appliqued simple frames for interest.
