Attacked for Being A Democrat

Wed Oct 17, 2007 at 07:52:34 PM PDT

Have you seen HritFiles.com yet?

I resigned from Friends of Kevin Hrit after I inappropriately linked the Troy City Elections to MI-09, right here on Daily Kos. Although looking at this development, maybe my comments weren't so inappropriate. Maybe Troy City Elections DO directly effect the 9th District. Why else would the 9th District Republican Committee pay for this informative website?

I don't know how Kevin feels about this...but I'm proud of him! He must be doing something right to scare the right wing noise machine and 9th District GOP Chair Glenn Clark. Although perhaps Clark is panicking for other reasons...but I digress.

Look, I don't even know if I'd call this an attack. Anything partisan they have pulled screenshots of came from personal profiles and websites- however former councilman Dave Lambert listed his positions with the Troy Republicans, Oakland County Republican Party, 12th District Republicans, Young Republicans, College Republicans, and Lincoln Republican Club! Thats a mouthful of partisanship, on a website paid for by the Dave Lambert Election Committee! Kevin's campaign has been nonpartisan, in fact he even praises the efforts of Congressman Knollenberg in securing the LTU Solar Home in Troy. Kevin's campaign has focused on issues.

Kevin has shown he can give Republicans credit where it is due. Just ask State Representative Marty Knollenberg, who Kevin emailed to thank for his bill to divest from Darfur before the council campaign even heated up.

I don't think voters in Troy will run from Kevin Hrit's plan of focusing on economic development, embracing technology, and planning for the future simply because he's a Democrat. I think Troy voters will look at the issues, and see that moving the city forward comes from a Plan for the Future- not Congressional District Committee funded personal smears.

If you wanna read more about Kevin's campaign, donate, or contact him to help out head on over to www.Hrit2007.com

Disclaimer: I don't work for or speak for Kevin Hrit or Friends of Kevin Hrit. However, seeing how I am (improperly) mentioned on this website, I have a right to respond.

...and their chair, Glenn Clark, to stay out of Troy City Elections.

I'm proud to work for Gary Peters, because Joe Knollenberg is out of touch.

  •  Ok, the attack is over (0+ / 0-)

now sit down and try to relax while I get you some water. Do you take valiums? I have a couple of 5s and a 10, what would you like?

Dkos = democracy. The only problem is that both give voice to idiot and genius alike. Read an anti-Hillary diary lately?

  •  Wow, Jordan, they've really got the goods on him (0+ / 0-)

On his Myspace page it shows that he is affiliated with a Peace and Justice group! Don't Troy voters realize that if they vote for someone who is in favor of Peace and Justice, the next thing you know they will have Peace and Justice in Troy? The horror! Oh, the humanity! The humane-ness!

Nice picture of you with Jenny. It sounds like Kevin is a great candidate for Troy City Council. Too bad I can't vote for him, but I only work in Troy; I can't afford to live in Troy.

One suggestion. You might want to give a little more background in your diary. I was a little lost when I first started reading this diary, and it took a minute or two for me to figure out the backstory and understand what it was about.

Feed the babies who don't have enough to eat / Shoe the children with no shoes on their feet / House the people living in the street / Oh, there's a solution
