Yup, us pooties are Democats, one and all! Ya see, we're all rescue catters, and only Democrats (good folks) would bother to see the good in us, not to mention the love we give our humans.
We all have our stories so our Mom will introduce us and show you our pictures below the fold... meow!
I'm Pooh... I was boarded at the cat hospital when my people were moving; problem is, they never came back to get me. Mom and Dad adopted me, and although I was six years old at the time, they have loved me and I've loved them. I'm sixteen now!
Toonces says, "I was born in Florida, on the gulf coast, and was a little wild man. The folks found me and I just turned eleven!"
Mom told me right off, when she first saw me at the vet, where I was being treated as a ten week old kitten... "I will love you if you will love me." I was living at "Free to Live", a no kill rescue in Edmond, OK, and needed treatment, so there I was at the vet when Mom came in to get some medication. She and I promised to always love each other, and here we are, I'm three and we still love each other, and I love my brothers and sisters, and Dad too!
Sadie
While Mom was discovering Sadie, she also discovered me... Peanut. I was one of a family of kittens who needed a home... I got the best!
Racer was abandoned at approximately four weeks old, discovered in the middle of the street and brought to our kitty doctor. We took him home about ten weeks later, his nickname is "the lovecat". Oh yeah, he follows the sports page!
Annie came to us in the arms of two little boys who found her in some bushes. They brought her to our house knowing we loved cats and would help her. We did, of course, and our entire family caught ringworm as a result! She was and is worth it, though. This tiny, delicate little lady who was so sick when she came to us is now thriving and running the show. Meet Princess Annie!
Miss Gracie Rose blindsided us one Saturday, while we were shopping in PetSmart. There she was, and home she came. She's a beautiful girl, a little plus size, but we don't mention that, so as not to offend her!
Gracie Rose
Little Atticus snuck up on us, once again at the vet's to buy some food and supplements. Don't go into the vet's and say how much you love gray kitties, you'll go home with one. However, this one is the boss! He is Atticus Finch Widget Boombah Bozarth, and large and in charge!
Atticus...
The latest little guy we have adopted is "Paddy" named for his exceptionally large paws. He's a little Tuxie, hit by a car at six weeks, all healed up, and our guy, once again met when at the vet for one of the others getting shots. Paddy is thriving, happy and loving, yet peeved we don't have a picture of him yet!
You've met our Democats, how about yours?
By the way, as Sarah Maclachlan sings, "In the Arms of the Angel" they find peace. As humans, we are so horribly mean to one another at times... these little loves harbor no ill will, they simply strive to stay alive. If we can't or won't help one another, maybe we can help these little ones. There is so much love returned.
