The final score: The Boston Red Sox swept the World Series with a 4-3 victory in Game 4 against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver.

Since the comments in the first thread have surpassed 400, this is a new thread to continue the trash talk informed analysis of every pitch, hit, and play of Game 4 with your fellow Kossacks.     Confirmed: A-Rod opting out of Yankees contract.

    Pedroia grounds into a 6-4-3 twin killing. 2 out.

    The "Coors" or "Monfort" values baseball influences very little of what you see on the field. Or the attitude of the players.

    Bottomline, these are talented, humble guys that play the game of baseball for the LOVE of it. You don't see them getting in trouble, hooking up with 2 or 3 whores a night (Jeter?), cheating on their wives (A-Rod?), or being caught up in the 'roid scandals.

    Not saying they are perfect men, but if you have to root for athletes, the Rockies are guys you can get behind and feel proud of.

        Even when they cheat, we can see the shadows of their ideologies at work.  I ask you, which kind of a cheat do you want, one who relishes voting, by expanding it beyond its limits, or one who would control and ration voting, only to those they deem "worthy"?

    and wish I had more of it.

    I'm still an old-school BoSox fan, third generation, so a 3-run lead in the 8th just gets my anxiety level elevated.  I'd call it ptsd but don't want to demean the diagnosis.  Some elements still apply.

    I'm working o
