It just does.
All my life, it's been the underdog versus the establishment. To see Boston come back from a 3-1 deficit in the ALCS is a ray of hope.
Baseball and I, we go back a long time.
Some people say that sports are worthless. That players get paid too much money to play a simple game.
I beg to differ. The Red Sox are a team I've been following for years. While I became engaged in other pursuits, I never lost track of the Red Sox and their pursuits of the ALC or WS.
I don't know where they're going to go past 2007 but I'm more than glad that they won. My work life is in chaos and I need something to root for. Something to keep my hopes up.
Thank you Papelbon.
