We Know How to Fix the Problems That Face Us
Tue Oct 30, 2007 at 08:06:10 AM PDT
We know how to fix global warming through greater efficiency, conservation and renewable energy. We know how to fix the sky rocketing cost of health care with a greater focus on prevention and cures and by restructuring the obscene profits of long-term, drug treatments. We know how to prevent wars through greater diplomacy and we even know how to fight terrorism by going after the terrorists who actually attack us. We know how to fix these problems and the only thing standing in our way is the big money, special interests controlling our government and maintaining the status quo of the current establishment. If we really want to fix the problems that face us, we need to change the system. Please follow...
That establishment, namely: The Military Industrial Complex (1), Wall Street (2), Pharmaceutical companies (2), Washington Lobbyists (2) and the Creator, owner and CEO of FOX News, Rupert Murdoch (3) have all chosen Hillary Clinton as our next president and through the polling and media companies they own and operate like ABC, NBC, MSNBC and FOX News, they are telling us who we are supposed to voter for. These are the same people who put George Bush in the White House both times. Please don't let it happen again. Please don't let the wealthiest few choose our next president again. They have screwed things up long enough and it's time for real change so that we can solve the big problems in front of us.
The only way to make this happen is to vote for and elect the candidate with the broadest base of support not the wealthiest few. If we always vote against the candidate with the wealthiest few donors and vote for the candidate with the largest and broadest base of donors, we eliminate the power of big money, special interests controlling our government.
No amount of wishful thinking will make it happen. Al Gore is not running, John Edwards does not have the nationwide financial base or record on Iraq to win the electoral college and none of the other candidates save one, have even a remote chance of winning. Barack Obama is our only hope of preventing the big money, special interests from choosing our next president again. Obama has the broadest base of donors in US history and they are spread out all over the country, not just in New York, LA and Miami. Obama has the greatest crossover appeal (4) and the best record on the Iraq War for the general election and he is the only candidate within striking distance of Hillary Clinton, the chosen establishment candidate.
Please don't let it happen again. Don't let the establishment and the media tell us who to vote for again. Let's put aside our fear of the unknown. Obama is the smartest and best qualified candidate to be president of the United States and he has the skills to bring people together around a common purpose to make change happen. The only way to solve the big problems in front of us is to change the system and our only hope for changing the system is Barack Obama.
