A
CIA assessment of the Iraqi security situation is circulating around Washington. It's all bad. It says Iraqis from North to South are taking up readily available arms and "flooding to the ranks of the guerrillas," and that the situation will only get worse. The report says that all opposition elements -- al-Qaida, Hezbollah, Baath, unaffiliated -- are coordinating their attacks more tightly.
In other words, "this is the work of pro-Saddam loyalists who hate freedom and love terr."
