I just received an email from Roy Gayhart who is heading up the effort in California to Draft Gore. Who knows, even if Gore does not decide to run, if he is on the NY, CA, and a few other states' ballots, he could pick up enough delegates to make a brokered convention possible.
Regardless, if you believe Al Gore will make the best President of the United States, and that we NEED him to stand and serve for so many reasons, you must step up and work and volunteer and get signatures between now and the deadline, which is the first week of December.
Here is the information sent out by CA Draft Gore. If you prefer not to contact your designated area volunteer, download the forms yourself, follow all the directions so as not to invalidate the signatures you do gather, and get to it!
If you have been gathering signatures, respond with your experiences, where are the best places to get the most signatures, etc. We can do this people!
We Need EVERYONE'S Help, NOW!

If you have not been contacted by your area volunteer coordinator or, for some reason, lost contact, click the appropriate link below to send your coordinator an email: (SORRY I CAN NOT ADD IN ALL THESE LINKS, BUT YOU CAN LOOK IT UP OR EMAIL ROY GAYHART TO GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE)

Since October 8, volunteers across the California have been gathering the signatures of registered Democrats on Nomination Papers issued by the California Secretary of State nominating Al Gore's name to be placed on the February 5 California presidential primary ballot. We have been slowed by the fires. We have also been slowed in the rural districts, where Democrats are spread out and we have fewer volunteers.
We cannot reach everyone who supports Al Gore and wants to have their voice be heard without your help, We have less than four weeks to collect 500 signatures in every congressional district. For the most part, we are in process of collecting the required signatures using volunteers. Across the state, California Draft Gore volunteers are going to Farmers Markets, Street Fairs, college campuses and other public locations and collecting signatures. They would love for you to join them. Join us today and be a part of history. Click the approriate link above.
If you cannot join us, you can still participate in collecting signatures. Everyone can play a part in this effort. All you have to do is follow this link to (1) download the Guidelines for Nomination Papers, (2) download the Nomination Papers, (3) sign the Nomination Papers and gather as many other signatures as you wish, (4) complete and sign the affidavit and (5) mail the completed Nomination Papers to California Draft Gore, P.O. Box 178799, San Diego, CA 92177:
