I am glad to see Barack Obama running for president. It demonstrates the difference between the Democrats who have an African American, a woman, and a Hispanic among their candidates – and the Republicans who are running nine straight white males. Nothing wrong with straight white males, I just like a little variety, you know.
But today’s ageist comment by Obama, coupled with other serious errors in the past few months, indicate that he either does not have the political experience to run an effective campaign or he allows bad advice and strategy to carry the day. Either way, Obama has clearly demonstrated to this Kossack that he is not ready for prime time.
Today’s comment:
"I think there's no doubt that we represent the kind of change that Sen. Clinton can't deliver on, and part of it is generational," Obama, 46, said on Fox News. "Sen. Clinton and others, they've been fighting some of the same fights since the '60s, and it makes it very difficult for them to bring the country together to get things done."

The fact is – it was a blatantly ageist statement.
I anticipate an apology within twenty-four hours.
Not good enough.
Last month it was his support of the rabidly anti-gay preacher Donnie McClurkin:
"I have consistently spoken directly to African-American religious leaders about the need to overcome the homophobia that persists in some parts our community,"

The Obama campaign has rewoven the Bayeux Tapestry in its efforts to spin that one.
Then there’s this jewel:
"Hillary Clinton (D-Punjab)’s personal financial and political ties to India."

A memo leaked from the Obama campaign.
Another apology.
Finally, there was the statement about unilateral intervention in Pakistan.
"... I think there are elements within Pakistan right now--if Musharraf is overthrown and they took over, I think we would have to consider going in and taking those bombs out, because I don't think we can make the same assumptions about how they calculate risks."

Another brilliant piece of work.
Sure – justify Bushite unilateralism.
I repeat –
Barack Obama has shown a serious lack of judgment on the campaign trail.
It is shocking that a person who has experienced the prejudice of American society towards people with skin of a different color would show insensitivity towards others with a different religion, culture, sexual orientation, or age.
It’s time for him to step aside.
