Here's an idea. I don't know if Texas law permits this, but I believe it does. Ciro should register as an Independent, and run against Cuellar. Cuellar beat Ciro because Republicans voted for him in the Open Primary, and because his organization came too little and too late. Why not try again in November. Plaster the airwaves with his photo of kissing Bush after the SOTU address and run against him? Is there a Republican challenger? Wont' the Repubs, Club for Growth Crowd siphon off votes from Cuellar. Assuming Ciro's voters are most committed, they will still vote for him in the general.

Update: OK, so those in the know say this won't work in Texas, except perhaps a write-in campaign, and there's no Repub running. Take the poll, anyway, should Ciro run a write-in campaign?
