My wife reads Hollywood gossip just for the humor of it, but when I saw this article looking over her shoulder I almost spewed the monitor with coffee...

According to these folks, Trent Lott is resigning because he's Gay.

Too funny; too stupid; too silly (you fill in the blank) not to share.

Crazy, but there it is.

The boy happens to be real, and his "stage name" is Benjamin Nicholas. One of the politicos Big Head DC has learned he’s alleged to have been involved with is the married Sen. Trent Lott, 66, who unexpectedly announced his retirement on Monday. Lott is well-known to have been against a plethora of gay rights issues throughout his terms in Congress. He was also good friends with Sen. Larry Craig throughout his time in Congress.

Nicholas told Big Head DC today via e-mail that he didn’t want to go on the record to talk about his dealings with Lott, because, said Nicholas, "Trent is going through his fair share of scrutiny right now and I don’t want to add to it." However, e-mail and other records confirm that the two have met on at least two occasions.

"All I can say at this point is no comment," Nicholas told us. "It’s the professional thing for me to do."

  I think that closeted gay republicans are reprehensible but all i can see this accomplishing is to fuel a huge backlash against the rest of us.

  that Requires Diarists, and potential Diarists, to set their "Recent Diaries" to at least 16, and that, at a minimum, such Diarist, or potential diarist, read the titles to the Diaries "recently" posted.

  You can increase the chances of your recommendation being followed if you delete the diary.

  It seems a bit much to have three diaries up about a juicy potential scandal that has no substantive evidence to back it up. The collective high horse the community likes to get on over the traditional media, and the focus on juicy scandals and missing white girls and etc. is really not a viable high horse if we effectively mimic the same behavior.
