I'm a strong believer in Global Warming and I am an ex-patriot from the United States, however, I truly do believe the United States and North America for that matter has been way behind the 8-ball when it comes to Global Warming. There has never been one person more wrong, more loudly on Global Warming then Senator James Inhofe (R-Oklahoma). Inhofe is obsessed with Al Gore like a panty thief is obsessed with women's undergarments.
You take one look at Senator Inhofe's blog (warning right-wing nausea straight ahead) and three stories in the last twelve days all deal with Al Gore or Global Warming.
Inhofe is known to be someone who has one of the most warped views on his own issues, I could pretty much declare him mentally insane but I think i'll let him speak for himself.
After the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995, when asked how many workers were in the Murrah Building, Inhofe said, "It depends on how many federal workers played hooky today.
In a 2002 Senate speech, Inhofe said, "One of the reasons I believe the spiritual door [emphasis added] was opened for an attack against the United States of America is that the policy of our government has been to ask the Israelis, and demand it with pressure, not to retaliate in a significant way against the terrorist strikes that have been launched against them."
In fact Inhofe even went so far to claim that we should base our support for Israel because he claims it's in the bible.
I believe very strongly that we ought to support Israel; that it has a right to the land. This is the most important reason: Because God said so. As I said a minute ago, look it up in the book of Genesis. It is right up there on the desk.
And in one of the most bizarre statements he made during a debate on gay marriage
...As you see here, and I think this is maybe the most important prop we’ll have during the entire debate, my wife and I have been married 47 years. We have 20 kids and grandkids. I'm really proud to say that in the recorded history of our family, we've never had a divorce or any kind of homosexual relationship.
If there is one senator who should be defeated it is Inhofe, he's way too conservative for Oklahoma, he's somebody who's brain is 100 years out of date and by god people, I hope Andrew Rice can take him out.
Anyone have the scoop on what's going on in Oklahoma?
