No not plays with his little wee wee, but with his veto power again.

Bush Vetoes Water Projects Bill

WASHINGTON (AP) — An increasingly confrontational President Bush on Friday vetoed a bill authorizing hundreds of popular water projects even though lawmakers can count enough votes to override him.

Bush brushed aside significant objections from Capitol Hill, even from Republicans, in thwarting legislation that provides money for projects like repairing hurricane damage, restoring wetlands and preventing flooding in communities across the nation.

Bush is a sick alcoholic wet dream power president. He is purposely jerking congress around. Why? Because he can. And I'm sick of the progressives blaming the Democrats for not keeping their word. They have passed all the bills we've wanted- Stopping the Iraq war, Schip, minimum wage increase etc., Bush just has the power to stop us dead in our tracks with his Veto Power. And he is doing it to make Democrats squirm and turn the Democrat supporters against our own party.

Wake up you fucking blaming Democrats! We need to stand together and quit tearing down those who represent us. We have no other choice right now!

If I could make a citizen's arrest or impeach him myself I would.

Bush is acting out on his god-approved leader of America position that republicans gave him.

But Bush never vetoed spending bills under the Republican Congress, despite budgetary increases then, too. Attempting to demonstrate fiscal toughness now, in the seventh year of his presidency, carried the risk being criticized for doing too little, too late or as waging a transparently partisan attack against the Democrats who now run Capitol Hill.

The president took the gamble, making it part of a broader effort to more pointedly and frequently take on Democratic leaders.

The veto was Bush's fifth. Four of those have come since Democrats took over Congress in January, but this one was unusual because it also pits the president against a sizable number of lawmakers from his own party. Previous Bush vetoes include two of bills allowing expanded federal research using embryonic stem cells, and a spending bill that would have required troop withdrawals from Iraq.

It's all a game with this sick asshole man-playing politics-sticking it to the Democrat leaders and the majority of Americans.

I am against the death penalty but my dark side would relish seeing him hung from the gallows..he deserves nothing better.

  Democrats were elected to change course, and that is what they need to do. Instead of whining about not having the votes, their job is to keep busting ass until they DO have the votes.
  That means real phone book style filibusters, open voting until they have overrides, etc.
  The game changed during the ratman's tenure, and the Dems have to change with it.
  The game is called POLITICS.

    I also believe that Bushco has done a stunning 'loyalty oath job' with the repugs and they have set up many road blocks that we the people don't even know about. I have some faith left in most of the Dems in congress.

    There are no quick fixes in the game of politics..unfortunately.

      So if I were a gambler I'd bet that somehow, some way, Bushco will keep his veto from being overridden, even though it has bi-partisan support--a renegade GOP senator, or maybe whoever has taken the place of Karl Rove will twist a few GOP arms. And even if the override goes through, there are signing statements...

  with money for their campaigns. But Congress must step up. They don't have the votes but there are other ways. Filibuster till the cows come home. Put Impeachment on the table. Investagate as if their lives depended upon it. Push the envelope. Push Bush into a corner that he can't get out of.

    While I would never underestimate the capacity of that crew for mischief, this seems so unconnected to anything that it seems equally likely that he's just flailing around using his alleged complete powers because he can. More a "see what I can get away with" adolescent than a schemer.
    Unfortunately Rudy Guliani seems to have similar tendencies. God help us all.
