Apparently Mr. Gannon has a book to sell and is planning on making the college tour to promote it. He also had this to say when asked on C-SPAN's Book TV about the male escort scandal:
"Well, there's not much to say about that. You know it, after two and a half years, there's nothing to it. I mean there's a lot of, of rumor and Internet gossip and you know "responsible journalists" paid some attention to that in the beginning and afterwards they decided there's nothing there. So."
Video below the fold.
Here he is in action:
I'd like to know just what part of what was said about him he thinks is not true and was not worthy of being reported. I'd like to know how it is not "responsible journalism" to have reported this story and stay on it. I'd like to know how the press would have acted if the Clinton administration had a gay hooker making frequent visits to the White House without signing out so anyone could know what time they left and maybe ask some questions about who they were going to visit. They'd have been on this story like a pack of rabid dogs. I guess Mr. Gannon thinks that his web sites he had up are just some matter of fiction now and didn't really exist. Nothing to see here....move along.
I truly hope that he is treated as well as Gonzo has been when he embarks on his college book tour. His new book coming out this spring is going to be titled Divorced From Reality. I'd say that the people who actually covered what happened are not the ones divorced from reality. Gannon is.
