Clinton at NASDAQ Dec 5, NYC
A lot has been going on with Team Clinton.
First, her vitriol attacks on Barack Obama since the Des Moines Register Poll came out on Sunday, not any other poll, which have come out before and after the DMR, just the DMR Poll.
Her rhetoric has been unforgiving and scathing. So we now know what, "Turn Up the Heat", mean. That phrase is not for the Republicans, but Barack Obama.
Fair enough, turn up the heat. But, Hillary make sure your house is unbreakable for stones, because lately the glass has been shattering around you.
First, we have to deal with kindergate. Yes, a file cabinet full of aspirations of her opponent who has the hope, yes, hope to be President one day, starting in kindergarten. This information was delivered to news organizations all over the country and linked on Clinton's Press Release page in all its glory. Yes, we must use this oppo, coupled with his third grade papers to substantiate that he knew full well that he wanted to run for the Presidency when he entered the U.S. Senate.
Well, what politician do you know who is not arrogant, ambitious, and want to run for higher office? I have not met one yet. And Clinton? Your ambitions, which have been widely written about was not the same? Please, let us put aside presidential aspirations, especially when you had the same ones as Obama, but just maybe not in kindergarten.
Then Team Clinton put this out on Monday:
Monday night, Hillary Clinton's campaign distributed an e-mail alerting voters of "possible dirty campaign tactics in Iowa and New Hampshire" against Clinton. "In Iowa, we have heard reports that Hillary supporters are getting calls that tell them incorrect caucus locations," wrote Clinton campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle. "Supporters have also told us about push polls . . . (and) in both Iowa and New Hampshire; we have heard that Obama staffers are berating Hillary supporters on the phone with negative attacks against her."
You heard the whining and complaining all through the states. All these dirty tactics are coming from the Obama campaign. But over at Blue Hampshire they questioned this press release.
But back to Doyle's e-mail, which became fodder for discussion on the New Hampshire website BlueHampshire this week. "What's missing from the letter? Any credible news source for the attacks," wrote Mike Caulfield. A frequent Blue Hampshire contributor. "Of all the e-mails I have got this season, none has made accusations of this breadth and magnitude of a primary opponent. Time will tell if the campaign chooses to pursue these allegations or simply use them for fundraising purposes."
Yes. Proof, Hillary, not insinuation but proof. And yet, here we go, pot meet kettle.
Hillary Rodham Clinton fired an Iowa organizer yesterday who forwarded a smear e-mail claiming Barack Obama is secretly a radical Muslim determined to destroy the country from within.
EDITORIAL: Hillary's Ugly 'Joke'
The outlandish e-mail claims, "The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own!!!!"
"Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim," goes the anonymous screed.
"THIS COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED, 'ONE NATION UNDER GOD.' ALMIGHTY GOD, NOT THE GOD OF THE KORAN."
Yes, this has been written. But guess what, it is not insinuations but proof:
The political organizer, whom The Post has identified as Judy Rose, was Clinton's Jones County coordinator for next month's Iowa caucuses, where Clinton and Obama are running neck-and-neck. Rose also serves as secretary of the Jones County Democratic Party.
Obama is a member of the Church of Christ who, as a child living in Indonesia, once attended a Muslim school that has been falsely characterized as a radical madrassa.
Also receiving the hoax e-mail was Ryan Callahan, a paid Clinton staffer. Callahan denounced the e-mail as "racist and ignorant" in a response he sent to Rose when he received it.
But Callahan didn't tell higher-ups.
Then of course, as Andrew Sullivan indicates, it all started here, at our landlord's spot.
So, instead of everyone discussing Clinton's speech yesterday at NASDAQ about the economy, everyone is talking about the Clinton Campaign and its staff smearing Barack Obama.
This makes one wonder if she is the one not battle tested, since she continues to brag and indicate she is the one who can beat Republicans. Yes, Republicans. Maybe Hillary have forgotten how to deal with Democrats.
Clinton may be having trouble because, while she is practiced at combat with Republicans, she has less experience with her own party. "You need to pull your punches and calibrate," says a Clinton aide about attacking a fellow Democrat. "You can't do the kinds of things you would do to a Republican because you feel guilty or worry about turning people off and alienating your base."
Well, if the obvious items listed above is experience in dealing with opponents, what is next? The Obama High School Trilogy? Lord knows I don't want my papers out there!!!!
Hillary, get back to policies and issues which you excel at. Let go of this immature, childish game that you are playing and losing at each day.
Really, you should, because you are not winning playing this way.
