In a sharp turn from free-market principles, the Republican Bush Administration has enacted price controls on the home lending industry. Citing the success of numerous Soviet-era economic policies, and the New York city rental market, some say, Mr. Bush has adopted a more populist posture in the vein of South American leader Hugo Chavez.
In a statement from the nascent United Socialist Front, the Madison, WI group applauded Mr. Bush's aggressive assault on the anachronistic "let the market figure it out" value system of the Republican Party.
