Shelley Moore Capito and Ginny Brown-Waite, both Repugnants, and both served on the House Page Board have resigned their positions in 'protest'.
The House Page Board expelled pages that were found to violated guidelines set up for them, but some how Capito and Waite seem to think this is an opportunity will score them points in "the media" and with voters by resigning.

The charges that pages are 'out of control' and 'wild' have no basis in any facts: kids do stuff like this all the time. But the comparisons to what happened when people like Mark Foley
[that 'Democrat']
was caught actively trolling the House Page Pool for young boys minors to have sex with has been made. It's already burned into the narrative by these clowns. And my outrage is that not one challenge to this smear is in evidence in any news article, anywhere.
Looking for an ethical journalist to analyze the situation and call this out? You'll be looking for a long, long time. But they're happy to repeat the charges.
The problem here is that charges have been leveled against Pelosi and 'The Democrats' for supposedly permitting this decadence to happen. Facts are, House Pages are not angels. Sex? Shoplifting? Typical high school stuff, anywhere. The Page program oversight did exactly what is should have, by expelling the kids in question, immediately.
Nice try for two Repug women who sat on the House Page Board to ramp up hysteria where there's no story.
Me thinkest they protesteh a bit too much.
From AP report
Last January, the House voted 416-0 to expand the Page Board and equalize its political makeup. Angry lawmakers complained at the time that the former Republican chairman, John Shimkus of Illinois, failed to convene the board when he learned — in the fall of 2005 — that Foley had sent overly friendly e-mails to a former page.
Brown-Waite wrote a scathing letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., charging that she "learned nothing from the lessons of the Mark Foley scandal."
To listen to Brown-Waite, it was as if these Democrats were preying on the pages themselves!
[House Clerk Lorraine] Miller said she promptly notified the board of the inappropriate conduct by the pages.
"On one occasion this year, Rep. Brown-Waite was not informed immediately of a page's dismissal -- the incident occurred over a weekend and she was informed on the next business day," Miller said in a statement released Friday. "After that incident, board members asked that they all be informed immediately of any such disciplinary action, and the clerk provided that notice in the most recent case," referring to the sex acts.
The giant bullhorn of traditional media trumpets the resignations of the Repugs, and furthers the theme that 'Democrats are just as bad as Republicans' - again.
Pelosi, rather than standing her ground immediately buckles [big surprise here]

Pelosi Calls For 'Top-To-Bottom' Review Of Page Program
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called for a top-to-bottom review of the House page program in the wake of revelations that four teenage pages were expelled because of shoplifting and sexual misconduct charges. The two Republican House members who serve on the House Page Board resigned Thursday, complaining they were kept in the dark by the Democratic appointed clerk of the House who oversees the House page program.
"The House Page Board must undertake an immediate and thorough review of the adequacy of the supervision and security at the Page dorm," Pelosi said in a short statement issued Friday afternoon. "As a mother and a grandmother, nothing is more important to me than the safety and security of our House pages."
So more of the same. Repugs like Foley act as predators on kids serving in the House Page Program and get off with a slap on the wrist. Democrats are excoriated when they do their job and administer the House Page program as they should.
Same as it ever was.
Situation Normal. All Fucked Up.
These whiny slimy Repugs, aided by these 'journalists' who trumpet their bullshit charges without any analysis will no doubt use the 'issue' as part of their re-election campaign.
