disclosure: i am volunteering with the campaign HQ and currently traveling with Robin Weirauch

5.20 office already humming, war room listening to britney spears. Canvass team is getting caffeinated.

6.20 heading out to first location. Spilled coffee all over myself in the car. Really foggy, but no rain yet.

6.51 there's the rain...

7.02 meeting voters with Robin Weirauch, could be the rain, could be too early, but not a ton of people here in Norwalk. The few that we met were REALLY nice.

7.16 heading to next location in Rossford. It is raining harder now... But at least it melted the ice on my car from sunday.

7.26 expert driving from Robin Weirauch's husband Bruce just avoided a pickup that tried to change lanes into their car. Must be his police training (Bruce is a retired police detective).

7.32 at polling location. More people than the last one, but not a ton. Rain is slowing a bit,and robin is doing an interview with WTOL 11 in Toledo and a Toledo Blade reporter will be shadowing us all day.

7.41 just heard bob latta had the cops called on him for campaigning too close to the polling site this morning (he wasn't - the cops we're wrong) right in the middle of a tv interview. No help from Boehner, the NRCC is mad at him, and now this. I am starting to feel bad for him.

More later, and I will try to add pix.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?

(The diary will be removed from the site and returned to your drafts for further editing.)
(The diary will be removed.)
Are you sure you want to save these changes to the published diary?
