Why have you now chosen to get involved in politics? Where the fuck were you in 2000 and 2004? How could you just sit back and watch George W. Fuckin' Bush drive this country into a ditch? In 2000, why did you provide a forum on your show to make Bush look more human by asking him about his favorite food - peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? Why didn't you publicly get behind the better candidate? Do you think Barack Obama is a better candidate than Al Gore was? Can you imagine how much better off we'd all be if Gore had won the election?
Why didn't you learn from the 2000 election and get behind John Kerry in 2004? Did you think it was good for the country to stay above "the fray" and avoid endorsing a superior candidate? Didn't you learn enough about Bush during his first four fucking years in office to conclude that he was wrong for this country? Wasn't John Kerry progressive enough for you?
Don't you realize how much good you could have done for the progressive cause had you aggressively campaigned for Gore or Kerry? Do you understand how close those elections were? Can you imagine how much money you could have raised for them? Do you understand the impact your endorsement would have had given your elite status?
Should your candidate lose, will you support the Democrat who wins the primary? Can we count on you Oprah?
