Living in Iowa, I get a lot of junk robocalls and push polling, despite being on the national and state Do Not Call lists. My FCC complaint form has had no response. I wish I could return such robocalls to the candidates who send me this tripe.
My question:
Is there any NGO web site that collects or analyzes such calls?
This is what I'm doing about it:
I bought a $20 phone adapter and a $70 digital audio recorder to make the more inane calls available to others. When the calls get bad enough, maybe I can demand some political accountability.
Today, I captured one anonymous pro Ron Paul robocall targeted to registered Democrats.
I posted this 52 seconds audio only excerpt of a call on SoundUpload.
In the full 3 minute call, there is room for comedy. The call says to press 1 to support Ron Paul but nothing happens when you press 1. The message repeated 3 times while I listened and pressed 1 repeatedly, to follow on this call.
This anonymous computer call tries to promote Ron Paul to a Democratic registered voter. The arguments have no validity. The approach has no integrity. No information about who is actually calling or who is paying.
