Is is me or is it the way the media reports it as if it's a "sudden" events re: Turkey's invasion of Iraq?
Turkish incursion overshadows Rice visit to Iraq
The danger is that assuming Obama is the next 'guy in DA house', what good will it do to Iraqi Arabs [from their point of view, but of course needless to say withdrawal is imperative in any case] that we withdraw if Turkey just continues Bush's war?
And more...
What do we need the Kurds as enemies (too) for?
It's Turks' problem not America's
How many agree that Rice knew all along of Turkey's decision? and the right has been blaming us for bringing up the 'Armenian genocide' on the "expense" of (hurting Turks' feelings) losing Turkey's support in Iraq?
Now what? where's Turkey's behavior, now that the US congress has dropped the genocide recognition resolution?
In short, I think Condi knew of Turkey's action a long time ago, and might play the "I am shocked" act, again.
Or like:
Rice: US concerned about Turkey's military action in Iraq
"Concerned" my ass.
