My computer homepage when I log on, is Dkos. I was at the first Yearly Kos. Check out my user ID, please. I rubbed shoulders with Markos in Vegas. I came here in 03, a definite Deaniac.
But, seriously, nearly every rec'ed diary a candiate diary? Is this I have fallen through the looking glass and ended up on an internet version of Hardball.
Please, stop it.
I come here not only to track races (which I can do at TPM Election Central or mydd if I want a lot of numbers). I come for the insight, the expertise, and the passionate defense of our democracy that inspires action.
Now, I've campaigned for Dean and others and I doubt that I convince many informed people to change candidates. I have been able to tell the unenlighted that, yes, there is an anti-war democrat in a particular race. But if someone makes up their mind, will your diary convince them, when I couldn't do it in person, charming people's asses off with my "c'mon to my candidate" smile? I am guessing not.
I get it - you want to up your guy (or gal, as unlikely as that seems around here) - you want to simmer in your tasty endorsement, supporter juices and feel yummy. You want to scream "look! itsn't he teh best of the candidates EVAAR!" and even cite numerous statisical analyses that your guy is nearly a deity.
Hey, as a Deaniac, I have been there and done more, and worse (i wasn't one, but surely one can remember crushies).
At this time, so much, so for some many, is going so wrong, and engineered by so few. Not just a spine-tingly primary race. Can I have more FISA, torture, and Media Consolidation diaries please? Healthcare? Some Repub analysis?
Bah, you say, that's what the front page is for beyotch!
Ok.
I will have to wait it out for a few more weeks, until Gravel blows all you suckers a way.
