Now that Condi has testified and the Democrats have been steadily pounding the Bush admin for not having done enough, one question that comes to my mind is the simplest and most obvious: are we playing right into the neocon's hand by inadvertently demanding they further expand their misguided and false 'war on terrorism?'
Say what you will, but despite their lunacy this administration is not stupid - they have been very adept at manipulating facts, situations and more importantly the people to their benefit. It is quite possible that Condi's testimony was one of the final pieces in an elaborate scheme meant to increase support for the never ending 'war on terrorism' that, in my opinion, has little to do with terrorism and more to do with domination.
By putting Dems in the position of angrily complaining that they haven't been doing enough, we are actually giving them room to do
more, including expanding Patriot II and more. We can't have it both ways - flogging the Bush admin for not taking more extreme action in the run-up to 9-11, but not wanting them to do more in its aftermath - and they are all but certainly aware of this. Are we playing right into the Neocon hand?
