I'm not the person who spots crap the first time I see it, but in this case transparency helps. The Orwellian Frank Luntz-Cato Institute term "Personal Accounts" is just a linguistic ploy to make privitization more acceptable to people. Unfortunately, I'm not surprised to see that over the last few days more pundits and anchors are using the term. The first incident I saw of it was either last thursday or friday, when Bill Schneider (a major Neo-Con) started using the phrase several times in a slanted Inside Politics report on younger voters and their "interest" in phasing out Social Security. Later that night I heard Aaron Brown use it once or twice. I thought that only the MSM would pull this crap, until I woke up this morning and I turned on the tv, and to my surprise the talking-heads ON MY LOCAL CHANNEL were using the phrase. I guess that RNC finally sent out its memos. Look for Judy Woodruff to start telling us "some say that the AARP supports same-sex marriage."
