Recent diaries regarding Nader 2000 and Nader 2004 sparked much discussion, as did Kerry/anti-Kerry diaries, and before that Dean/anti-Dean diaries.
But as we seek enlightenment, and explore others' posting it (sometimes much later) becomes clear we are working on different agendas. If that were spelled out earlier, a lot of angst would be saved, and less blood spilled on the pavement.
My agenda is kicking Junior's butt back to Crawford. That's job # 1 and everything else takes a back seat. Building a third party is not on my agenda, nor is IRV (not a bad idea, but this is 2004 and it ain't happening this cycle). Nor is justifying what happened and what I did in 2000 (I voted for the winner, Al Gore, in the interests of full disclosure ans I have voted third party locally but never nationally). Nor is looking for an anti-war candidate to support my main objective. I will ride whatever horse is saddled up in November.
So what's your agenda? Helps the dialogue to know yuo're talking to a a third-party supporter about the evils of third parties, or an anti-war supporter about why nuance is good.
