This morning on KPFK (90.7 FM - Los Angeles) the opening to the second segment of "Connect the Dots" with Lila Garrett was the following statement and question to her guest John Nichols:
"Now we have the President of the United States who has been outed himself as the person who accused, who made public the fact that Valerie Plame is a CIA employee. What happens to the President now?" -- Lila Garrett

(The John Nichols interview begins at approximately 26 minutes into the show.)
(continued after the jump)
I was surprised by Garrett's assertion. Not because I doubt that Bush was likely involved in revealing that Ambassador Wilson's wife worked for the CIA - After all, Joseph Wilson informed us when this story first broke that Bush's brain (Mr. Rove) was calling journalists and telling them about Ms. Wilson's employemnt.
It's my understanding that Bush admits (through Scott McClellan) that he declassified certain (questionable) portions of a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) that supported his claim that Iraq was rapidly developing a nuclear weapons programs - not that he "declassified" Valerie Wilson's position with the CIA.
I'd love some feedback on this. Thanks for any clarification that you may offer.
