Video: Obama on Iraq War Vote - 11/02

Saw this video posted over at Talking Points Memo, and I hadn't seen it or heard these exact quotes before.  I think that statements like this can hopefully change some people's perceptions when it comes to Obama's lack of experience, specifically foreign policy experience.  I'm just sick of hearing that experience is such an important factor in determining how effective a President will be.  George H.W. Bush and Richard Nixon had tons of experience, how did that work out?  

Competence is far more important than experience, and I see little evidence to suggest that Obama is incompetent.  He showed excellent foresight in this video, and obviously understood the implications of an invasion a helluva lot better than most of the other candidates.

  Obama's credibility on this is beyond reproach. If I were him I'd be sending this video out to every media outlet possible!

•  MAN! Obama sure is articulate!

  Even before he ran for the U.S. Senate, Barack Obama still comes across in this November 2002 as bright and well-informed as someone working in the Illinois State Senate.  The tone and style of Obama's speaking suggests to me he's an expert at being diplomatic and BOY, that would be a asset to the White House!

  ...as I think his comments were insufficiently directed towards the headlong rush to war orchestrated by Bush/Cheney - that is one impressive clip. Obama consistently comes across as older than his years, and admirably concise in his choice of words and lack of pretense. No wonder the Republics are nervous about him...
