Let us pray* for the community, for the world, and for all people in need.
We pray tonight for:
- Soonergrunt, hyperbolic pants explosion, and all unemployed Kossacks, that they might find stable, well-compensated work with dignity. Provide for them and their families.
- For fabooj, ablington, Boogiemama, and all pregnant members of our community, for the mothers and fathers, and for all those who would be parents. Bless them in their family life, and grant them peace of mind as they raise their children. If it be your will, bring children to those who seek them.
- For Darrell, ElizabethD, and all who stuggle with ongoing health problems. Give them the gift of healing, and grant us grace to listen to them with a supportive ear.

We pray* for the world:
- For the city of London, as it comes to terms with two terrorist attacks within one month, and for the nations of the United Kingdom and Ireland, that peace may at long last take root in the north;
- For North Korea and Iran, that their leaders might lay down their nuclear ambitions, and that they may find realized the hope of security without threat from a belligerent US government;
- For the people of Iraq, that their nation no longer be torn by violence and bloodshed, and for all American forces stationed there, that they may come to no harm, nor do any, and that they might be reunited with their families as soon as possible.
- For India, torn by anoter barely noticed disaster; that its sufferings not go unnoticed or unaided;
- For Niger, the same;
- For all parts of the Earth trampled under by too many people and too few resources, that they may know a just distribution of wealth.
We pray* for all those in need:
- The sick, the sorrowing, and the suffering;
- For those in pain too great to bear;
- For those who starve in a time of plenty;
- For those without home, or family, or friends;
- For the schizophrenics, and all who suffer from mental illness;
- For the poor;
- For those consumed with anger;
- For all victims of violence: political, interpersonal, household;
- For all mothers who have lost their children and yearn for their safe return.
Grant us the gift of compassion, that we might do our level best to meet these great needs, and that we might avoid sowing hurt, confusion or injustice in the world around us.
