A Texas Soldier Critiques the Iraq War -- Part 2

Deep in pro-war country, an articulate young U.S. Army officer critiques the war in Iraq in the pages of his hometown newspaper.  This is part 2 of a series that began last Sunday with the first half of a lengthy letter he wrote to his congressman, Rep. Chet Edwards (D-Tx 17th).  Congressman Edwards asked service men and women from his district for their advice on the war.  The young man's identity is not revealed, in order to protect him from retribution.

  This is really good stuff. Next time, do a diary, so more people will click through. Set the diary up by explaining briefly where the content came from (anonymous Iraq soldier, telling the truth from on the ground), and blockquote up to four paragraphs that you think are the most salient. Close with a sentence or two from you describing why you find this worth reading.
