for the first time in my life, i got called up for jury duty. having spent the decade following my 18th birthday either at college or abroad (or abroad at college), i've never been in the position to sit on a jury. so now that i've gotten the notice, it occurs to me that i know next to nothing about either the legal system in general or the process of a trial in specific. on one hand, i'm not sure i want the power to judge a fellow person's innocence and guilt; on the other, it could be interesting to see how it all works.
so my question is: does anybody have any good tips, ideas, experiences, or words of wisdom about being a juror?
