Blog Moratorium - Week 7
Tue Mar 27, 2007 at 02:53:36 PM PDT
Has it really been almost 2 months? I must say, after the first couple of weeks, it wasn't too difficult avoiding the political blogs. After I deleted them from my Feed reader, it was just a matter of replacing them other non-politcal feeds... or (gasp!) non-Internet activity.
One of the things I've done is, instead of listening to NPR or AAR, I listen to audiobooks in my car. I try to mix it up with a bit of fiction, some classics, and personal development stuff.
So how uninformed am I?
The things I've heard about:
- Something about US Prosecutors being fired by AG Gonzales, or at least being forced to resign.
- Not much about the Iraq War, other than the Democrats had a resolution pass.
- Iran picked up some British troops who were in their waters. But that was last week, and I haven't heard much else about it.
- There was a pro-Obama, anti-Hillary ad on YouTube, where the guy took an old Apple ad and re-worked it.
- I don't know if it's big anywhere else, but apparently Ron Paul is running for President. I've actually heard more buzz about that than anything else recently.
- Of course, I know all about Britney's Rehab stay... and Anna Nicoles death.
That's it... those are the only political things that come to mind from over the past few weeks. If you've been talking about other stuff/outrages/attrocities, it hasn't reached down to the mass-populace.
