Man-oh-man... the problems with the soon-to-be-ex-wife have become so complicated that I had to cancel my trip to D.C. F-
--K.
I am now 200% convinced that she is a Republican.
But, we need to talk about politics or something, so I'm gonna wing it.
WAKE ME UP WHEN WE HAVE A CANDIDATE
Shit, I thought this was going to be a long year because I didn't feel I'd have the energy to make it through the election season. Well, it turns out that the primaries have sucked me drier than Ashcroft could ever hope to.
I've tried to stay out of this, for the most part. Living in Wyoming limits the amount of good I can do for the Democratic Party, so I was a candidabbler this time around. Early on, I was a (gulp) Kerry guy. Then I was a mild Deanie. Then I was a strong Clarkie. Then I went back and forth and back and forth between Clark and Dean a few times, landing tentatively on the Clark side. Then I went back to the Dean side. Then I went Edwards. Now I just don't give a shit.
The thing is, we seem to have done such a good job of tearing each other to shreds that I can only be left to believe that none of our candidates are worthy. What's up with that? I guess it's just how the process works, but I have to say that it blows. I suppose that if you combine that with a bunch of anonymous polidiots online you get the equivalent of the big battle scene at Rohan. (This is where one you freaky LOTR guys corrects me. Let me say this now... get a life.)
Anyway, I just wanted to get that out there.
My huge problem is not being in DC this weekend. I want to see the friends that I "talk to" on kos. I want to make new friends. Most importantly, I want to keep the friends I'm already blessed with. I fucked that up. Things here are just incredibly complicated right now. The old D is not going well... and turning UGLY.
But enough about me. What's happening with you? I can't promise that I'll respond here, as today is WACKY, but I'll try.
Who has a problem that theoria can solve for them.
(Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.)
