brainstorming on kos - scandal gate?

This is a very short diary, to gather together some thinking on framing.  Now that the scandals are coming hot and heavy, they need to be named for the purpose of chuckle-eliciting sound bites.  I guess E-Mall-Gate is obvious, but maybe there is something better, not to mention that there are many many other various nefarious scandals that Must Be Named.

    Watergate was named after the Watergate Hotel. Which was so named because there was once a watergate there, which was some sort of a gate that had something to do with water.

    But I want to offer my own proposed named for the current scandals that I think will become synonymous with scandal and corruption for decades to come: "The Bush Administration".

      BlackBURIED... anything related trying to bury the attorneys, bury information about Iraq, bury information about election fraud.

      BLACKburied ... anything to do with off the books operations, anything to do with military contractors

      it has to be something that everyone understands immediately. So it has to refer to some well-known crime or a general metaphor for something, and be a mocking play on words.  Blackburied works, but it's not in common usage.  How about e-nailed?   Kerry was Roved but Rove's been e-nailed?  (at least we all hope he will be) Headline in the NYT:  Will Rove be E-Nailed?  Headline in the LA times, will Rove be Blackburied?

  Although, I agree with others upthread that "gate" is overused and now has a tendency to diminish, rather than enhance, the level of the scandal.

  But I think we need a frame that ties everything together and shows the sheer extent of the incompetent.  For a bonus, something that plays into his supposed strengths or memes.

  The SCLM used to always downgrade every bushie scandal into a "flap." Nothing was ever a scandal ... it was merely a flap. Might be something in that.
