I have a question about Fox News

Mon Apr 02, 2007 at 08:39:40 AM PDT

What would happen if Fox news came out as the propaganda arm of the Republican party?  It's something that's been kind of itching in the back of my brain ever since the controversy arose regarding the Nevada and CBC debates.  What would be the ramifications for the Republican party, money wise?  How about for their advertisers?

It seems to me that this sudden scramble by Fox to get debates is a ploy to gain credibility, but I wonder also if there's not something else going on.  I have to wonder if the lawyers at Fox news are not anticipating a government controlled by Democrats, after twelve years of running under the radar of negligent Republican FEC.
This is just speculation, and I wonder what other people out there think about it.
Thanks.

Faux Gnus can do whatever they want.  I have no doubt that they are concerned that people are no longer ignoring the man behind the curtain, but they have no legal obligation to be 'fair and balanced'.

    This space for rent.

Think about it - it doesn't matter if the truth would make the way easier, be it faux news, the potus, abu gonzales, etc. etc. They simply can not let go of the lie - it's like a safety net to them.

So, faux will not let go of the "fair & balanced" regardless of how much easier it might be to simply become the "out" propaganda branch of the rnc.

That's a link to Murdoch's holdings. he is not the loon most people think - and I am no fan of FOX news - hate it. But the Murdoch empire is about feeding specific audiences what they specifically want. His number 2 - Peter Chernin - used to run Showtime and he's as liberal as it gets
