              i almost went out looking for you! as it is, i am blogging injured. i had to take my son to the airport last night, and, on the way home, i decided to go to walgreens to buy a fan they had advertised (this was at around 2 in the morning). i dragged the fan inside (it's a big standing one). i tried to open the box, but finally used a key to slice through the cellophane. somehow, i managed to slice my thumb, too--not with the key, but with the cardboard of the box. there was blood (mine, not the fan's). now, don't start imagining my thumb hanging by mere sinews or anything. it is just a glorified paper cut. however, it is in the exact part of my thumb that hits the spacebar when i type. ohhhh, the pain!!! even a bandaid doesn't make it feel better. however, i will soldier through and continue to answer anyone who is kind enough to leave a comment.
              (anyone in tears yet?)
