One of the best and consistently used attacks Bush as been using is the K/E vote against the $87B. To date we have not have a concise response. We all know that it was cast out of primary campaign convenience (this is the truth folks, so no harping about how it is a Repug talking point...regardless it is an effective attack). So, how do K/E respond?
I think we need to have a direct and FORCEFUL response. General Clark, I think, should be used, along with other military folk, give that forceful response. They should make the case in an ad and K/E should use it on the stump.
But, what should they say? It should include:
- Trust. something about how the Pres misused the trust afforded him initially.
- something about how the war was going awry and new direction was needed.
- the money should have been paid for without burdening future generations.
- sacrafice.
I don't know? what do you guys think? I don't think we can wait til the debates to clear this up.
