HR 2082 with Schiff Amendment passes in the House

Not that I believe that the President will sign it. Or if he does, he'll include a signing statement rendering the legislation mute. Or he'll just ignore the law like he's always done.
I was shocked, however, that Kucinich voted AGAINST this bill. If you look at the roll call, he's one of six Democrats who broke with the caucus. Huh? I guess I'm not that shocked, but I can never figure that guy out.
He voted with the majority to allow the Schiff Amendment into the Intelligence Authorization Act. That amendment explicitly states that FISA is the only legal way to conduct domestic spying operations. Not that the NSA program wasn't already illegal, but now I guess it's REALLY illegal.
The good news is, of course, that a majority of the legislatures now agree that illegal spying is, well, illegal, and went on record saying so.
